Investment Engineer

About this role

Bridgewater seeks Investment Engineers to build and scale the technology infrastructure that converts investment research into live trading systems across global markets. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, and finance, collaborating with researchers and traders to transform ideas into production-grade systems that operate at institutional scale.

What you'll do

• Design and implement technology systems that translate investment research into executable trading strategies
• Build and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines that support real-time investment decision-making
• Collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers to understand investment logic and translate it into robust, scalable code
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and frameworks to improve system performance and engineering velocity
• Ensure production systems are reliable, efficient, and handle edge cases in high-stakes financial environments
• Participate in cross-functional teams that continuously test and evolve investment systems
