IT Security Engineer

About this role

CMT seeks an IT Security Engineer II to secure enterprise infrastructure and manage security incidents while serving as a Tier-3 escalation resource. Based in Cambridge, MA with hybrid flexibility, this role combines hands-on security engineering with incident response and cloud platform administration for a mobility AI company protecting millions of drivers globally.

What you'll do

• Execute IT security tasks with independent judgment, focusing on policy adherence and control implementation
• Investigate and remediate emerging vulnerabilities across endpoints and SaaS tools, acting as a primary incident responder
• Maintain and refine incident response playbooks for threats like phishing, compromised endpoints, and network intrusions
• Configure advanced Datadog queries and alerts; manage Jamf Security Cloud for device compliance
• Conduct security audits, review threat detections for false positives, and support tabletop exercises
• Apply scripting knowledge to identify security risks in code artifacts and evaluate new security technologies
