About this role

Captivation Software seeks a mid-level back-end software engineer with 7+ years of experience to design and deploy microservices, manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, and implement CI/CD pipelines. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and focuses on building scalable, secure backend systems for mission-critical applications.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Java
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs and backend services on AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3)
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and collaborate with cross-functional teams
