Systems Engineer 2 (Travel Required) - RF/Python
About this role
Captivation Software seeks a mid-level systems engineer specializing in RF and Python to support electromagnetic compatibility testing and E3 program initiatives. The role requires a current Top Secret/SCI clearance, hands-on RF expertise, and willingness to travel 3 times annually for 7–10 day assignments.
What you'll do
- Conduct EMI testing and emissions analysis across HF, VHF, and UHF frequency bands
- Develop and document comprehensive test plans for RF system validation
- Operate and troubleshoot RF measurement equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Write technical reports with engineering recommendations based on test results
- Review and specify component and system performance requirements to meet E3 noise limits
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agency stakeholders on technical requirements
