About this role
CARIAN seeks a Distribution Portfolio Engineer to manage capital planning and portfolio development for utility infrastructure projects. This role coordinates across engineering, operations, and project management teams to develop five-year capital plans, optimize project sequencing, and ensure data quality across distributed systems.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain long-range distribution capital portfolios in collaboration with utility stakeholders and engineering teams
- Support five-year capital plan implementation and coordinate immediate through long-term capital needs across operating companies
- Evaluate project priorities, feasibility, dependencies, and funding requirements to optimize capital portfolio integration
- Identify bundling, sequencing, and coordination opportunities to improve execution and maximize investment value
- Review engineering estimates, project scopes, and supporting data for completeness and alignment with capital requirements
- Analyze portfolio data to identify gaps, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across systems and processes
