About this role

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Field Mechanical Engineer to oversee assembly operations for the SPARC Tokamak at their Devens, MA facility. You'll serve as a technical co-owner of the assembly process, solving complex engineering challenges, supporting technicians, designing custom tools and fixtures, and coordinating with adjacent teams to keep construction moving forward.

  • Ensure technicians have all required resources and support to execute assembly work safely and effectively
  • Apply mechanical engineering expertise to solve complex assembly challenges for large-scale fusion infrastructure
