About this role

Otter seeks a Middleware Solutions Engineer I to bridge technical relationships between POS providers, restaurant partners, and internal teams. You'll manage complex integrations, resolve production escalations, and drive process improvements while collaborating across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure partner success.

What you'll do

  • Manage technical relationships with POS providers and restaurant groups; own merchant discovery, deployment, and execution
  • Handle escalated technical requests from high-visibility customers; diagnose and resolve production issues with urgency
  • Perform configuration changes, deployments, and product expansions; establish clear scope and documentation
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to collect partner feedback, prioritize feature requests, and influence technical decisions
  • Identify workflow gaps and inefficiencies; develop automation tools and scripts to improve operational standards
  • Support pre-sales technical conversations and ensure smooth integration of new technology solutions
