About this role
Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for their Somerville facility to design and optimize production processes for fusion energy components. You'll collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams to enhance efficiency and output on a second shift schedule.
What you'll do
- Design and implement manufacturing processes to improve productivity and efficiency
- Optimize production line operations and workflows
- Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability and process improvements
- Work with quality assurance to ensure product standards and compliance
- Coordinate with supply chain and production staff on process implementations
- Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to minimize downtime
