Quant Developer - Research Engineering
About this role
Chicago Trading Company seeks a Quant Developer to bridge quantitative research and production engineering, building the systems and datasets that power the firm's derivatives trading operations. You'll own research infrastructure, optimize data pipelines, and ensure research ideas scale reliably to production while collaborating with quants and traders across the firm.
What you'll do
- Partner with researchers and traders to design data, tooling, and compute infrastructure for research questions
- Build and optimize backtesting pipelines and execution frameworks
- Transition research prototypes to production with reliability, reproducibility, and observability
- Own foundational shared datasets across desks, ensuring quality and timeliness
- Profile and optimize performance-critical numerical code balancing runtime and compute costs
- Build evaluation tooling for researchers to assess model performance
