About this role

A Series A startup developing AI-powered engineering automation seeks an experienced ML engineer to design and deploy machine learning models that accelerate simulation, improve design validation, and enable generative approaches for computer-aided engineering. You'll lead AI/ML projects from research through production, partnering with domain experts to integrate physics-informed models into high-fidelity simulation pipelines.

What you'll do

  • Research, design, and develop AI/ML algorithms for simulation, design automation, and engineering optimization challenges
  • Build and scale AI solutions integrated into CAE workflows, collaborating across teams to ensure seamless deployment
  • Optimize model accuracy and system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks end-to-end
  • Lead AI/ML projects from prototyping through production deployment and monitoring
  • Partner with engineering experts to develop physics-informed and geometry-aware machine learning approaches
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to cross-functional stakeholders

  • AI/ML model development and deployment (4+ years applied experience)
  • Python and modern frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow)
  • ML algorithms for sequential, spatial, or physics-informed data (time series, meshes, simulations)
  • MLOps and end-to-end AI system architecture
  • Technical leadership and project guidance (2+ years)
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Collaboration and technical communication
  • CAE/CAD tools or simulation knowledge (preferred)
