About this role

Join an early-stage healthtech AI company as a founding backend engineer building core services that power AI voice and browser agents automating clinic workflows like referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations. You'll own production systems, integrate with healthcare platforms, and work directly with founders to ship features into live customer environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and build backend services and APIs orchestrating AI voice and browser agents
  • Develop integrations with EHRs, scheduling systems, and insurance/payer portals
  • Ensure reliability, observability, and performance of agent workflows in production
  • Collaborate with founders on architecture decisions and product direction
  • Help establish engineering practices, hiring processes, and on-call procedures as team grows

  • Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js (3+ years production experience)
  • System design and distributed systems
