About this role

Founding design engineer role at a seed-stage AI pricing platform, responsible for building and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and frontend patterns that ensure UI consistency across human and AI-generated code. You'll own design tokens, enforce accessibility standards, and serve as the frontend quality bar-raiser for the entire company.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain design system including tokens, shadcn/ui component library, and Tailwind conventions
  • Define frontend patterns using React Query, React Hook Form, and Zod to ensure agent-generated code maintains consistency
  • Enforce WCAG accessibility standards and integrate brand guidelines into codebase
  • Audit and own frontend tooling quality including Biome configuration, Playwright testing, and performance
  • Review all shipped interfaces and set UX standards across the company
  • Integrate AI coding tools into frontend workflows and guide quality standards for generated code
