About this role
SpaceX seeks a Test Stand Design & Build Engineer to develop and maintain fluid and mechanical systems for rocket engine and vehicle testing at their McGregor, TX facility. You'll own projects from concept through operation, collaborating with technicians and test teams to solve complex engineering challenges on accelerated timelines.
What you'll do
- Design and build fluid, mechanical, and structural systems for testing rocket engines and vehicle components
- Lead projects through design reviews, procurement, and hands-on construction with fabrication teams
- Operate and troubleshoot test equipment while rapidly iterating designs based on field performance
- Maintain communication with test operations to adapt plans and meet critical testing deadlines
- Evaluate complex engineering problems and deliver practical solutions for high-pressure and cryogenic systems
- Support emerging field projects with a hands-on approach to keep daily testing operational
