Founding Engineer, Agent Systems
About this role
Build the core agent infrastructure and orchestration systems for a healthtech marketplace automating clinic and internal operations. You'll own the technical foundation powering AI workflows across patient-facing and backend systems in a lean, senior team at an early-stage startup.
What you'll do
- Design and implement multi-step agentic workflow orchestration for clinic operations and internal processes
- Integrate external tools and APIs into agent systems with reliable tool calling and error handling
- Build retrieval and evaluation infrastructure to measure and improve agent reliability and accuracy
- Identify manual workflows and ship end-to-end automation systems to eliminate them
- Monitor production agent performance and iterate on system design based on real-world behavior
- Own the core agent infrastructure as a technical foundation for the company
