About this role

Join a seed-stage Vienna-based AI voice communication startup as a Founding Product Engineer, owning full-stack features from discovery through production for an AI phone assistant platform serving thousands of European SMBs. You'll balance rapid experimentation with scalability, work closely with customers and sales, and drive end-to-end product decisions in a high-autonomy role.

What you'll do

  • Own product features end-to-end, from discovery and hypothesis through architecture, implementation, and production release
  • Lead product discovery by designing and running rapid experiments to validate ideas before large-scale investment
  • Maintain recurring customer and partner contact to surface pain points and translate them into product decisions
  • Design and implement tracking and metrics instrumentation to support data-driven iteration
  • Build across the full stack, make architecture decisions, and drive implementation to production
  • Move initiatives forward independently with radical ownership, balancing speed of validation with long-term scalability

  • Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and React (full-stack proficiency required)
  • Integration with external systems (CRMs, calendars, databases)
  • Customer feedback synthesis and product decision-making
  • Product metrics identification, tracking, and analysis
  • Full software development lifecycle from architecture to production
  • AI/LLM feature integration (OpenAI or similar, nice-to-have)
  • GDPR and EU AI Act compliance considerations (nice-to-have)
  • Native-level German language proficiency (essential)
