Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)
About this role
An early-stage AI infrastructure startup is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and build a GitOps-native distributed operating system on Kubernetes. You'll work with the founding team to abstract Kubernetes complexity while enabling production AI clusters to deploy in days, focusing on core platform development in Go, custom operators, and multi-cluster management.
What you'll do
- Build core platform features in Go, including custom Kubernetes operators and controllers
- Design and implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for continuous deployment automation
- Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Helm for cluster provisioning and management
- Work on distributed storage solutions using Ceph and WEKA for high-performance cluster storage
- Build observability and monitoring systems with Prometheus and Grafana to track cluster health
- Design federated Kubernetes architectures and container networking with Cilium for multi-cluster management
