Security Engineer
About this role
Join an early-stage AI/ML infrastructure company as a founding Security Engineer to build and own the security program from scratch. You'll lead incident response, secure APIs and data systems, establish SOC 2 compliance, and protect sensitive assets for frontier AI labs and enterprise customers.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end incident detection, investigation, and response with postmortem analysis
- Own the complete security roadmap across product, infrastructure, corporate, compliance, and incident response
- Secure APIs and data systems through threat modeling, code reviews, and authentication controls
- Build and operate SIEM/XDR monitoring and detection capabilities
- Own SOC 2 compliance including control design, audits, and policy management
- Partner with legal and engineering to implement data protection and access controls
