About this role
Design and develop electromechanical systems for collaborative robots at an innovative robotics startup. You'll own mechanical designs from concept through testing, creating robust hardware that balances manufacturability, thermal performance, and field reliability for cutting-edge human-robot interaction products.
What you'll do
- Design system-critical mechanical hardware including structures, enclosures, electromechanical packaging, and thermal management
- Collaborate across hardware, safety, test, manufacturing, and supplier teams to translate requirements into robust designs
- Lead designs from analysis and CAD through prototype build, validation, and design iteration
- Conduct mechanical analysis and troubleshooting to resolve design challenges
- Ensure environmental protection and compliance with industry standards
- Travel occasionally to support prototyping, testing, or field validation
