About this role
Join Coinbase as a 12-week summer 2027 intern to build crypto-forward products and features across product or core engineering teams. You'll ship production code, own projects end-to-end, and work on web-scale and blockchain challenges in a hybrid San Francisco or New York environment.
What you'll do
- Write high-quality, production-ready code that directly impacts Coinbase customers
- Own a defined project from scoping through implementation and launch over 12 weeks
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to raise team quality standards
- Learn and apply blockchain and crypto domain concepts to real engineering problems
- Utilize generative AI tools responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and quality
What they're looking for
- Programming in any language (Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, etc.)
- Problem-solving and breaking down ambiguous technical problems
- Web development, mobile development, backend systems, or infrastructure experience
- Generative AI tools and copilots (LibreChat, Gemini, Glean)
- Code review and collaborative feedback practices
- Production code shipping and testing practices
- Blockchain or crypto domain knowledge (preferred)
