About this role

Coram AI seeks a Mechanical + Hardware Design Engineer to own the end-to-end development of electromechanical assemblies for next-generation security and edge-AI systems. You'll manage design, prototyping, manufacturing partnerships, and field deployment in a fast-paced startup environment focused on AI-powered video security.

What you'll do

  • Lead mechanical and electromechanical design from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT production phases
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure quality and on-time delivery
  • Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) across sheet metal and injection molding processes
  • Balance performance, cost, and manufacturing constraints in product development
  • Execute rapidly across multiple concurrent workstreams with accountability
  • Handle thermal, vibration, and environmental design validation for rugged deployment
