This role focuses on building robust, reliable, and flight-quality software, primarily in Rust, for attitude control, command handling, and data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real-time embedded systems and a proven ability to provide technical direction and mentorship to a team.

What you'll do

  • Lead the architecture and development of payload flight software.
  • Design, develop, and test flight software in Rust for critical functions.
  • Define coding standards and software architecture for the flight software team.
  • Implement fault detection, isolation, and recovery (FDIR) mechanisms.
  • Build and maintain automated test infrastructure, including HIL testing.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to define system interfaces.
