About this role

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a Powerpack Engineer Level II to own the design and performance of turbopump components, driving them from initial concept through rigorous testing and ultimately, into orbit. This role demands a creative and accountable engineer who can integrate constraints from various engineering disciplines and ensure hardware reliability throughout its lifecycle. You'll contribute to building infrastructure for space-based solar energy, a revolutionary step towards solving the global energy crisis.

What you'll do

  • Own the mechanical design of turbopump components through testing.
  • Integrate constraints from different engineering areas into cohesive designs.
  • Manage component configuration and track changes throughout production.
  • Support manufacturing and testing processes, including resolving nonconformances.
  • Analyze test data and assist in anomaly investigations.
  • Drive creative solutions and improvements to existing designs.
