About this role

Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a skilled Injector Design and Development Engineer to lead the entire lifecycle of rocket engine injectors, from initial design to flight operations. This role combines rigorous analytical design with hands-on manufacturing and testing to ensure rapid development and iteration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and a builder’s mindset to help the company build the infrastructure for space-based solar energy.

What you'll do

  • Lead injector hardware development from initial design through flight operation.
  • Perform design trades and analyze Thrust Chamber Assembly components.
  • Oversee manufacturing processes and iterate on designs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Plan and execute component and full-engine hotfire tests.
  • Analyze hotfire data and redesign components to meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with vehicle and test-stand engineers to ensure compatibility.
