About this role

Pronto AI is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of their Autonomous Haulage Systems. This hands-on role involves design, prototyping, installation, and documentation, with a focus on integrating drive-by-wire hardware into heavy machinery. You'll be integral in ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity improvements in real-world environments.

What you'll do

  • Develop and integrate drive-by-wire hardware including actuators and sensors.
  • Design and create 2D and 3D CAD models of mechanical components.
  • Build prototypes and develop testing/validation procedures.
  • Manage component sourcing and vendor relationships.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation and development (up to 30%),
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system-level design.
