About this role
Otter is seeking a Software Engineer to build and own the core merchant platform, responsible for everything from restaurant onboarding to offboarding and lifecycle management. This role involves designing, building, and improving backend services that support the company's mission of helping restaurants thrive in the online food delivery space. You will own services end-to-end and contribute to a collaborative, innovative environment.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain the merchant platform, including data models for stores, brands, and configuration.
- Design and implement onboarding services for new restaurants.
- Develop self-serve growth flows for signup, activation, and conversion.
- Create offboarding and lifecycle cleanup processes for departing merchants.
- Own the entire service lifecycle: design, build, instrument, debug, and improve performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure customer success and integrate your services.
