Join Datadog's Technical Escalation Engineering team as an expert in usage metering, billing, and cloud cost management. You'll solve complex customer escalations involving billing anomalies and cost optimization, collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape platform direction, and empower global teams through training and tooling.

What you'll do

• Lead technical escalations on usage metering, billing anomalies, unexpected spikes, and cost management across Datadog products
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to investigate bugs, align on billing behavior, and improve usage transparency
• Build internal diagnostics, playbooks, and customer-facing guides for cost optimization and billing analysis
• Develop and deliver training to enable global Solutions teams on usage, billing, and cost-related customer conversations
• Act as voice of customer, identifying patterns and feedback to inform product roadmap for billing and cost visibility
• Analyze telemetry volume, data retention, and cloud billing models to quantify cost impact for customers
