About this role

Join a U.S. government contractor as a Platform Engineer supporting Navy operations, bridging application development and platform infrastructure. You'll help teams deploy and operate software securely on Kubernetes and the Unicorn Delivery Service, working across containerization, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies in a remote role with occasional travel.

What you'll do

  • Bridge application and platform teams to facilitate secure, reliable software deployment and integration
  • Design and maintain infrastructure as code, Kubernetes clusters, and Helm configurations across multiple distributions
  • Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, container strategies, and deployment automation
  • Collaborate with application teams using React, Vue, .NET, and Python/FastAPI to adapt architectures for platform requirements
  • Identify and resolve technical issues spanning application and platform layers, with focus on security and observability
  • Contribute to strategic planning aligning technology decisions with mission objectives
