About this role
Perplexity seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise customers and deliver end-to-end AI workflow solutions using Perplexity Computer. You'll own customer engagements as time-boxed projects, combining hands-on engineering with solutions architecture and program management to drive measurable business impact.

- Design, prototype, and build AI agent workflows in Perplexity Computer and adjacent tooling, debugging and hardening solutions in customer environments
- Manage end-to-end customer relationships including expectation-setting with executives, weekly practitioner sessions, and risk mitigation
- Create reusable reference implementations, workflow templates, and connectors to accelerate future deployments across GTM and Product teams
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success on pre-sales scoping, technical validation, and expansion opportunities
- Deliver executive-credible architecture communication while executing program management on the ground
What they're looking for

- AI and LLM fundamentals (frontier models, agents, agentic workflows, and their current limitations)
- Solutions architecture and enterprise system design
- Executive communication and stakeholder management
- Hands-on engineering and scripting in AI frameworks
- Workflow automation and multi-step business process design
- High agency problem-solving in ambiguous, unspecified environments
