About this role
This startup is seeking a Principal Physical Design Engineer to join their early-stage physical design team and tackle challenging implementation problems for large-scale AI data center clusters. The role is deeply hands-on, encompassing the entire physical design flow from floorplan to signoff, and requiring independent problem-solving and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned engineer with a strong track record of tapeouts and a passion for optimizing performance and efficiency.
What you'll do
- Own physical implementation from synthesized netlist to signoff.
- Develop and optimize floorplans and power-grid implementations.
- Drive placement, routing, timing closure, and ECO implementation.
- Perform static timing analysis and signal integrity analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
- Develop and improve physical design flows and methodologies.
