About this role

Dialpad seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customers and transform AI opportunities into production-ready agent deployments. You'll design, build, integrate, and stabilize AI agents that resolve real customer problems by working across technical, operational, and business domains.

What you'll do

  • Convert pre-sales opportunities into clear delivery scopes, technical plans, and phased implementation roadmaps
  • Map customer workflows, exception paths, approvals, and escalation rules to inform agent design
  • Design and build AI agent solutions including orchestration, prompt architecture, retrieval flows, and decision logic
  • Integrate agents with customer data sources, APIs, SaaS platforms, CRMs, ERPs, and knowledge systems
  • Develop evaluation methods, guardrails, and acceptance criteria to measure agent quality and production readiness
  • Execute iterative testing, failure analysis, and performance tuning to optimize reliability and cost
