Divergent
CMM Programmer
About this role
Divergent seeks an experienced CMM Programmer to develop and execute precision inspection programs using PC-DMIS on Hexagon systems for complex, additively manufactured and machined components. This role combines hands-on metrology expertise with cross-functional collaboration to drive quality, reduce cycle time, and advance automated inspection capabilities in a high-mix, precision manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Develop, optimize, and execute CMM programs using PC-DMIS on Hexagon systems for precision component inspection
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to create accurate, repeatable measurement strategies for complex 3D geometries
- Perform hands-on CMM operation and dimensional analysis on additively manufactured and machined parts
- Collaborate with engineering, machining, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturability
- Continuously refine measurement strategies to reduce cycle time and enhance accuracy
- Evaluate and integrate emerging metrology technologies such as laser scanning and structured light inspection
What they're looking for
- PC-DMIS programming (expert-level)
- Hexagon CMM systems operation
- GD&T interpretation and application
- Metrology and dimensional analysis
- Precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges)
- Root-cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Data analysis and measurement variation assessment
- Non-contact metrology technologies (preferred)
