Quality Systems Engineer
About this role
Divergent seeks a Quality Systems Engineer to lead quality initiatives and continuous improvement in their high-precision manufacturing operations. You'll manage audits, analyze production data, implement process controls, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure products meet automotive, aerospace, and defense industry standards.
What you'll do
- Lead internal audits and manage third-party/customer audits; handle CAPAs with root cause analysis and effectiveness tracking
- Monitor KPIs (yield, defect rates, on-time delivery) and analyze nonconformance trends to drive improvement initiatives
- Develop quality dashboards and reports providing real-time visibility and actionable insights to stakeholders
- Establish inspection criteria and acceptance standards; validate inspection methods through Gage R&R and Cpk analyses
- Develop and deploy scalable quality control plans and new inspection technologies; support process validation
- Mentor quality team members on inspection, data analysis, and process control best practices
