Electrical Engineer: RF Systems
About this role
HRL Laboratories (an IBM company) seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop RF and millimeter-wave subsystems for aerospace, defense, and automotive applications. You'll collaborate with scientists and engineers on state-of-the-art sensor technologies while supporting customer solutions, proposals, and technical publications.
What you'll do
- Design, fabricate, integrate and test RF and millimeter-wave subsystems
- Develop RF electronics and circuits for communication, radar and sensing applications
- Perform detailed circuit analysis and create technical presentations
- Support proposal activities and customer briefings
- Write invention disclosures and publish technical papers
- Solve customer problems and assist in marketing technical expertise

- RF and millimeter-wave design
- Circuit modeling and simulation (SPICE, ADS, or equivalent)
- Python, C, and MATLAB/Simulink programming
- FPGA, DSP, or microcontroller experience
- RF test equipment operation
- Digital signal processing
- Electromagnetics and circuit theory
- Technical writing and presentation skills
