About this role

HRL Laboratories seeks an Electrical Test Engineer to develop and validate navigation-grade MEMS IMU systems for autonomous and GPS-degraded applications. You'll define test plans, manage production documentation, characterize advanced hardware assemblies, and support transition to low-rate production in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop system-level validation plans with pass/fail criteria and test coverage for MEMS IMU release readiness
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure requirements flow-down, system integration, and technical documentation for production transition
  • Perform testing, characterization, and assembly of advanced electronic and hardware components
  • Operate and troubleshoot electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, VNA, and TDR systems
  • Analyze test results and present findings to technical staff and management
  • Maintain configuration control and support engineering change processes for prototype and early production units
