About this role

DoorDash Labs seeks a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration of robotic platforms, ensuring subsystems work cohesively through interface definition, test bench design, and cross-functional validation. You'll oversee hardware-software integration, automated testing, and system-level debugging for autonomous delivery robots.

What you'll do

  • Define subsystem interface contracts and integration risks for new robot designs
  • Design and build HIL systems, test benches, and wiring harnesses for platform validation
  • Develop and execute automated test sequences for integrated platform behavior across multiple subsystems
  • Lead system-level debugging across subsystem boundaries when issues arise
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to identify integration gaps
  • Document integration procedures, test results, and platform readiness for manufacturing teams

What they're looking for

  • Hardware/software integration and vehicle bring-up
  • Complex systems troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Python or Linux shell scripting for test automation
  • Digital electronics and embedded buses (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN)
  • Electrical schematics and wiring diagram interpretation
  • Git and build automation tools (Jenkins)
  • Multi-disciplinary cross-functional communication
  • Signal integrity and electrical fault diagnosis
