Platform Engineer - AI Engineering
About this role
DRW seeks a Platform Engineer to build and operationalize a centralized AI tooling ecosystem that routes users to cost-effective models while managing governance and security. You'll integrate external cloud AI providers, internal models, and end-user tools into a unified control plane, working hands-on with API gateways, cloud infrastructure, and backend systems.
What you'll do
- Configure and manage multi-engine API gateways with dynamic routing, rate limits, and fallback logic for LLM requests
- Execute technical migration and integration of firm-wide tools into centralized management plane with secure logging and governance
- Manage AI services in enterprise landing zones (Azure OpenAI instances, model deployments, API key generation) within shared responsibility model
- Write Go and Python code for usage dashboard sync loops and implement automated cost-control mechanisms like alerts
- Partner with Inference Infrastructure team to register and route self-hosted on-premise models within AI gateways
