ENSCO seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to translate government space and defense mission needs into technical solutions, managing architecture, integration, and cross-disciplinary problem-solving across hardware, software, networks, and security domains. The role spans mission analysis through operational acceptance, requiring sound judgment, technical credibility, and ability to influence decisions across independently governed teams.
What you'll do
- Translate operational priorities into technical work and clarify mission threads, constraints, dependencies, and decision evidence
- Develop, evaluate, and communicate architecture options, functional boundaries, interfaces, and data flows for multi-system capabilities
- Analyze cross-disciplinary issues spanning hardware, software, networks, cybersecurity, and sustainment to identify causes and corrective options
- Integrate efforts across program offices, laboratories, operators, security teams, and industry partners to align interfaces and commitments
- Design rapid learning activities including analyses, demonstrations, and prototypes to test assumptions and expose risk early
- Support testing, reviews, and operational acceptance activities to confirm combined capability is mission-ready
