AV Engineer - Break/Fix
About this role
EOS IT Solutions seeks an AV Engineer to provide break/fix support, preventative maintenance, and event readiness services for audio-visual systems across high-impact venues and specialty collaboration spaces in Los Angeles. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting, event operations support, and process improvement to maintain reliable, event-ready AV environments.
What you'll do
- Diagnose and resolve audio-visual issues including audio, video, control, routing, conferencing, projection, and signal path problems in event and specialty spaces
- Perform pre-event equipment sweeps and provide technical support during priority events to ensure operational readiness
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on AV hardware, software, cabling, and control systems to identify degradation and aging risks
- Manage spare equipment inventory, track RMAs, and coordinate logistics to support rapid break/fix response
- Document incidents, identify recurring failure trends, and coordinate with engineering and vendor partners to resolve systemic issues
- Support User Acceptance Testing for new spaces and train operations teams on system usage and troubleshooting workflows
