About this role
Epic Games is seeking a Tools Programmer Intern to join the Content Architecture team, working on engine features and tools that manage how game content is packaged, distributed, and streamed across platforms. You'll write C++ code for tool systems, debug workflows, and collaborate with experienced engineers on real-world Unreal Engine development.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain C++ code for content packaging and distribution tools within Unreal Engine
- Debug and resolve workflow issues affecting internal development teams
- Work on engine features related to content streaming across multiple platforms
- Own implementation decisions and drive tool-related features from design to completion
- Collaborate with Content Architecture team on toolchain improvements
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
