About this role
Etched is seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop optimized software across custom AI inference hardware, working across the full stack from low-level drivers to high-level applications. You'll collaborate on cutting-edge chip and software co-design to unlock performance for large language models and AI workloads.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and test firmware for custom AI inference hardware platforms
- Develop low-level drivers and APIs optimized for hardware-software integration
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems spanning IO technologies like PCIe, I2C, SPI, and DRAM
- Contribute to product launches with rigorous testing and validation across the full stack
- Collaborate across hardware, software, and research teams to solve complex system-level problems
- Address customer-related technical issues and improve system reliability and fault tolerance
