About this role

Exiger is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to establish and maintain database engineering practices for their federal programs. This hands-on role involves building reusable database patterns, tooling, and security measures within a FedRAMP environment, and collaborating with both internal teams and customers to ensure data integrity and security. You'll be instrumental in ensuring new programs start with robust, secure data foundations, rather than building from scratch.

What you'll do

  • Establish reference database patterns including instance design and replication.
  • Develop and govern schema conventions for consistent data structure.
  • Build reusable backup, restore, and disaster-recovery tooling.
  • Maintain database security patterns within a FedRAMP boundary.
  • Create zero-downtime migration and schema change tools.
  • Support program teams and escalate database issues across engagements.

What they're looking for

  • PostgreSQL
  • Aurora
  • MySQL
  • Oracle
  • AWS (RDS/Aurora)
  • FedRAMP
  • Zero-Downtime Migrations

Benefits

  • Discretionary Time Off
  • Health, Vision, and Dental Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation
  • 16 Weeks Paid Parental Leave
  • High-performance Culture
  • Hybrid/Remote Work
