About this role

ExtraHop seeks a Framework Software Engineer to design and optimize high-performance network detection and monitoring systems built in C and C++. You'll own complex features spanning protocol parsing, metrics publishing, and time-series storage while collaborating across engineering and product teams to enhance core infrastructure and drive modernization initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop high-performance services for core Framework systems, taking ownership of moderately complex to complex features
  • Implement and enhance protocol support across networking layers
  • Participate in technical design discussions and author clear technical documentation
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production and performance issues independently with root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable engineering solutions
  • Participate in on-call rotations and improve system observability, reliability, and operational readiness
