About this role
fab2, a well-funded early-stage hardware startup, seeks a Software Engineer to build the core software platform for chip fabrication. You'll own significant portions of the stack, designing systems to model processes, control equipment, and analyze data—bridging the gap between software and physical systems to create a more programmable and understandable fabrication environment. This greenfield role offers the opportunity to directly collaborate with process and hardware engineers.
What you'll do
- Own core parts of the software platform for chip fabrication.
- Design systems to model tools, recipes, wafers, and processes.
- Build interfaces for equipment control and fab monitoring.
- Ingest and analyze high-frequency data from fabrication equipment.
- Develop tools for metrology, process analysis, and SPC.
- Create a complete history for every wafer.
