About this role
fab2 is seeking a Software Engineer to build the software platform for their hardware manufacturing operation. This greenfield role involves designing and developing systems for BOM management, inventory, traceability, and test workflows, working closely with engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to translate complex physical processes into intuitive software solutions.
What you'll do
- Own the internal hardware manufacturing platform.
- Design systems for BOMs, parts, revisions, and traceability.
- Develop tools for technicians to create assembly steps and test procedures.
- Create test workflows with acceptance criteria and results.
- Build inventory and purchasing systems.
- Integrate design, inventory, build, and test data for hardware traceability.
