About this role
Fehr & Peers seeks entry-level transportation engineers and planners to join their Riverside office and build foundational expertise across diverse project types. You'll gain hands-on experience in traffic analysis, planning studies, design, and technical tools while receiving structured mentoring to develop professional skills.
What you'll do
- Conduct transportation analysis and prepare technical reports, memos, and deliverables
- Participate in client meetings and prepare presentations and public outreach materials
- Support project coordination and management activities
- Conduct site visits and collect field data for transportation studies
- Learn and apply technical software tools including GIS, CAD, and traffic modeling programs
- Contribute to internal Research and Development initiatives

- Transportation planning and analysis
- GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS)
- CAD design (AutoCAD, Microstation)
- Traffic operations analysis tools (Synchro, VISSIM, HCS)
- Travel demand modeling (Cube, TransCAD, VISUM)

- Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Python or R programming (preferred)
