Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Machining (New Grad December 2026)
About this role
Freeform seeks a new graduate Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize CNC machining programs for precision metal parts, including post-processing of 3D printed components. You'll work hands-on with advanced multi-axis machines (DMG Mori, Haas) in a fast-paced, vertically integrated facility in Los Angeles, collaborating across engineering teams to establish machining standards and drive process improvements.
What you'll do
- Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for complex metal components and post-processed 3D printed parts
- Program, setup, and refine multi-axis CNC machines including DMG Mori and Haas systems
- Interpret CAD models, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to create precise machining programs
- Troubleshoot CNC programming issues and collaborate with machinists and design engineers
- Design and deploy automation solutions to enhance quality control and production rates
- Ensure compliance with quality control processes, industry standards, and safety regulations
