About this role

Fieldguide seeks a Software Engineer to lead quality assurance and test automation for enterprise deployments, leveraging AI agents to automate bug triage, reproduction, and resolution. You'll work directly with customers on their quality experience while building internal testing infrastructure and maintaining environment consistency across SaaS and PaaS platforms.

What you'll do

  • Build and operate agentic automation systems for bug triage, reproduction, routing, and resolution across environments
  • Maintain SaaS and PaaS environment consistency and prevent configuration drift that causes defects
  • Own bug reporting, analysis, and communication of quality trends and hotspots to engineering leadership and customers
  • Execute and scale bug bashes for new features, making the practice repeatable across teams
  • Improve internal test coverage, CI signal reliability, and reduce flakiness in automated testing
  • Partner directly with customers to integrate quality processes and improve issue reporting and validation workflows
