About this role
Join Firecrawl's legal team as a Legal Engineer to build software systems that operationalize legal guidance. You'll combine coding expertise with genuine legal knowledge to create contract review agents, policy automation, and compliance tracking tools—working directly with lawyers to turn their decisions into production code.
What you'll do
- Build contract intake, review, and redline agents and clause management systems
- Convert legal counsel decisions into production code and automated pipelines
- Research and analyze web data legal issues: terms of service, robots.txt, copyright, privacy, and data provider licensing
- Ensure systems comply with legal commitments, terms, and policies; demonstrate compliance in security reviews
- Develop tools enabling sales and operations to handle routine legal tasks without legal team involvement
- Identify legal risks in product before launch and propose engineering solutions
