Flow
Software Engineer
About this role
Flow is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to build practical, high-impact solutions that directly improve operations and resident experiences across their real estate and community platform. You'll work embedded within cross-functional teams, translating real-world operational challenges into elegant software, workflows, and AI-powered products while moving fluidly across the full stack.
What you'll do
- Build software solutions that directly address operational friction for operators, residents, and business leaders
- Work embedded with cross-functional teams to understand end-user needs and translate them into product outcomes
- Move across the full stack (backend, frontend, data, infrastructure, automation, AI) based on problem requirements
- Develop AI-native solutions using modern tools and practices, including AI-assisted development for rapid iteration
- Own problems end-to-end, scoping opportunities and making architectural decisions with significant autonomy
- Ship real-world tools designed for physical environments and actual operational use, not just demos
What they're looking for
- Strong backend fundamentals and full-stack capability
- AI-native development with proficiency in tools like Claude Code and Cursor
- Clear written communication for prompts, documentation, and stakeholder updates
- Rapid learning and comfort expanding into unfamiliar technical territory
- Critical thinking and independent problem-solving
- Modern engineering practices and agile iteration
- Product-oriented mindset with user empathy
- Willingness to work across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure
