About this role
Design and own the control interfaces and operational sequences for gigawatt-scale AI data center power systems. Bridge electrical engineering and software development to define data contracts, protection logic, and automated commissioning workflows that ensure reliable facility operation.
What you'll do
- Own the control and data contract between facility energy controller and third-party power plant controllers, defining objects, fields, units, and update rates
- Define sequences of operation for normal conditions, generation shortfalls, source transitions, blackstart, and emergency shed scenarios
- Specify point maps, interlocks, and constraint classes for vendor implementation and validate compliance through testing
- Translate electrical and generation constraints into software requirements and communicate software/data constraints back to plant vendors and engineers
- Prove control interfaces in simulation before energization, validating every constraint class and mode transition
- Support automated commissioning workflows and robotic deployment processes

- Python or Go programming for prototyping and integration testing
- Electrical one-line and panel schedule interpretation

- Microgrid and behind-the-meter control systems
